This is where I collect stuff that is interesting to me that somehow informs the projects I'm involved in. It's probably not the kinda cool you're looking for. If for some strange reason you do want to get in touch, email me.
It’s been a busy week of making and doing at Stanley James Press. We used the Gocco printer for the first time, to print some flyers for our upcoming charity party The Cosmic Snowball. It’s a cool little device for printing postcard size stuff. I’m a bit worried the consumables will run out as its no longer in production. Emily ordered a load of ink, screens and bulbs, so we’ve got some stock to keep us going. Emily has also been busy putting the finishing touches on her calendar for 2012, which is heading off to the screen printers next week. Oh, and we finally got around to making some letterpress business cards for us.

I’ve been super busy with People Who Do, lots of changes, new challenges and opportunities to leave the safety of my comfort zone, which is good. I’m loving how we’ve grown the company, next year is going to be very exciting.

In between People Who Do, sleeping, trying not to stumble into drying printing and developing negatives, I’ve been working on the Microsoft Phone Book video, which is almost ready to share. Took some more film photos yesterday, so I need to develop and scan and get them into the film. But, we are really happy with it.

This is one of my favorite Christmas presents.  Emily made it using an old ledger book found in Lewes, and it included the silver mini pencil.

Everything I’m doing or going through right now is about learning.  Seems obvious really, but I think it’s easy to get complacent, especially when you’ve been doing things for a while.

I’m so excited about my new business, People Who Do, which is pretty much about helping people learn and work out better ways of doing things/work/play and encompasses workshops to help people get organised and enables people to do some thinking around what they are doing day to day and in the next 1/5/50 years.  It’s a developing business, and I’m thrilled to be involved in it.  Here’s some pictures of something we did on Friday, it’s our new Winter Retreat, and the weather and setting couldn’t have been more perfect.

So this book is perfect right now.  It’s a place to capture little and big things I’ve learnt each day.  Nothing like writing stuff down with ink and paper to cement it in the mind a little more.
