Pretty much every photo I took during August.
Pretty much every photo I took during August.

Finished shooting my first roll of real film in years on my new Diana toy camera. It’s been cool playing with Emily’s Holga, and even better to have my own one. I have a mixture of feelings using it, from excitement waiting to collect the prints that will take over 24 hours, to fear that nothing will be on them. These are good feelings and I feel I may get hooked on film. There is something about the specialness of film, especially using these toy camera’s, where you are never quite sure they are going to work. Taking photo’s of things all of sudden becomes special again, and it’s totally made me think about digital and how useful, but throw away it is.

A good find
Now I know where the phrase “out of sorts” comes from.
I love the human printer.
More nice stuff from Josh/Stika - love these colour balls.
We finally got around to building the likemind poster letters last night. It took 3 pairs of hands (me, Max and Emily), 3 fresh blades, various kinds of sticking materials and lot’s of patience. Head over to Emily’s site to see more of her design work, and if you want a pdf of your own to print and make, let me know.

Emily on the way to big chill

I’m so happy with Emily’s likemind poster design - go here for more info on the next likemind. If you fancy a HQ pdf so you can build the letters, let me know.

Imagine if kids were never allowed to be bored, but the instant they whinged, plonked in front of TV – teaching them to sit back, and wait to be entertained. Can you imagine that?
O how I love a nuclear test photo.

Wes Andersons stop motion animation of The Fantastic Mr Fox better be good.

I think this is going to be a bit of a slow project for me and Emily - found this old Adana Printing Press at the car boot and spent most of Sunday cleaning the rust, oiling and trying to get it to work. It was a most enjoyable day.
