I will re-visit the village one day. In the mean time I will have to read this book.
Be seeing you…

Be seeing you…

This is one of my favorite Christmas presents. Emily made it using an old ledger book found in Lewes, and it included the silver mini pencil.
Everything I’m doing or going through right now is about learning. Seems obvious really, but I think it’s easy to get complacent, especially when you’ve been doing things for a while.
I’m so excited about my new business, People Who Do, which is pretty much about helping people learn and work out better ways of doing things/work/play and encompasses workshops to help people get organised and enables people to do some thinking around what they are doing day to day and in the next 1/5/50 years. It’s a developing business, and I’m thrilled to be involved in it. Here’s some pictures of something we did on Friday, it’s our new Winter Retreat, and the weather and setting couldn’t have been more perfect.
So this book is perfect right now. It’s a place to capture little and big things I’ve learnt each day. Nothing like writing stuff down with ink and paper to cement it in the mind a little more.
I love finding faces in things. Emily was given this along with a load of Expo 67 stereo discs for Christmas.

Our northern fox has made the journey south. Not sure exactly where he came from, but he’s pretty cool.

Emily bought me an instant back for my DianaF+ camera. Here’s some of my first attempts at taking pictures with it. I have to admit, it’s not easy. Images are often under exposed or over exposed, and the films aren’t cheap. But, there is something very satisfying when an image does work, and the mini size is nice to hold and keep. Something else to collect.
When I looked through these photo’s I felt sad that this is the end of a good night out for a lot of people. I wonder how we got to this point? I’d love to do a Kinsey style study to try and work this out.

Here’s my December 2009 photo montage - pretty much every photo I took during the festive month.
An amazing find from my travels up north - a Police War Duties Manual from the 50’s. Lot’s of cold war stuff to get me excited.
See the whole book here.
Love this campaign from Poke - I am slightly obsessed with coffee, and it annoys me so much that a lot of highstreet and indie coffee shops are ripping customers off by serving substandard beverages.
If you are in Brighton I wholeheartedly recommend Coffee @33.

Featuring among other things: bit’s of fingers, The Simonsound, Cold war stuff, zombies and happiness.

I am Curtis James. This stuff is very interesting to me, and probably not the kinda cool you're looking for. If for some strange reason you do want to get in touch, click here.
