Definately going to this.

Playing the Building is a sound installation in which the infrastructure, the physical plant of the building, is converted into a giant musical instrument.

I don’t think of these characters as losers. I like the struggles that people have, people who are feeling like they don’t fit into society, because I still sort of feel that way. –

When I first read the headline, Paper Beats Internet, I thought it was some kind of study/poll, with Paper winning the argument, which in my fantasy world it does win every time.

But, this thing still lives on the internet, well, it’s transmitted, broadcast on the internet. All the drawings are done using paper, posted to the Paper beats internet website, and others comment and create responses to what they see.  It’s like a drawing twitter thing, but people need to spend a bit more time, take a bit of care and actually create something more than 160 characters of text.

Reminds me a bit of Post Secret and Dawdler, 2 lovely projects.

I thought I better write more than my usual ‘This is lovely’, seeing as all these people have spent time doing something.

Paper beats internet.

Beautiful Nike advert by James Jarvis.  I’ve loved Mr Javis’s work ever since I got hooked on Silas a while back.  This advert is all about running, a subject close to my heart, knees and back.  Slightly sensitve subject right now as I’ve had 8 months of injuries.  I loved the section with the storms and rain, reminded me of the often enjoyable feeling of running in the rain, as long as they don’t turn into hailstones, which has happened a few times.  Lovely work.
